Middle Learning Summer Reading Overview

Welcome to Summer Reading for Galloway Middle Learning

The goals of Middle Learning summer reading are to encourage kids to read for enjoyment, provide one curricular-related book for use in at the beginning of school year, and to foster community by giving students and teachers shared experiences with reading.

Galloway Middle Learning students at each grade level will read three summer reading books.

1. Common Read

2. Grade-level novel that relates to language arts and social studies

3. One book of their own choice

Please click on the tabs above to see reading choices for each grade level and see the links below for suggested books. Please note that Galloway will purchase both common read books and the grade-level novels for all ML students. Students will need to acquire their own choice books.

The Galloway School Library offers summer book checkout for ML and UL students. Come in during the last week of school and check out up to 25 books. Please note that all books should be checked out before the last day of school.

The descrpitons of books on this guide are either adapted or directly taken from the Amazon website unless otherwise stated. In stated cases, descriptions have been taken from the Barnes and Noble website.
